Projects

We highlight the following key projects:

AI-Powered White Cane for the Visually Impaired

“Vienna is a beautiful city—even for the visually impaired and blind,” says Dr. Shantanu Dave, our blind mathematician turned AI researcher. In collaboration with Augenblick.ai, we are developing an intelligent white cane to enhance outdoor mobility and independence for blind and visually impaired individuals.

This device integrates advanced sensors and AI-based scene understanding to support safe, context-aware navigation in urban environments.

If you know someone who might benefit from this initiative, we warmly invite you to connect them with us. We are also conducting a survey to gather valuable input directly from the visually impaired community. [Click here to learn more]

Quantum Kids – School Workshops in Vienna

Our Quantum Kids initiative introduces school students in Vienna to deep concepts in mathematics, computer science, and quantum computing through engaging, game-based learning.

We have developed a set of original educational games that make abstract topics intuitive, fun, and interactive. With a strong commitment to outreach, we are bringing these workshops to schools across Vienna—fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in the next generation of innovators.
